We are delighted to announce the opening of the HyPEF Stakeholder Area, a private virtual space specially designed to foster collaboration, engagement, and fast-track communication with our valued stakeholders who are keen to join our regulatory journey in tracing the future of clean hydrogen. The Stakeholder Area will serve as a hub to build a community of actors from the FCH industrial, scientific and regulatory ecosystems, the environmental impact assessment and life cycle management community, and broader audiences interested in the sustainability of hydrogen products and technologies.
Welcome to HyPEF! We will deliver and test the FIRST EVER Product Environmental Footprint Category Rules (PEFCRs) for fuel cells and hydrogen (FCH) products.

Stakeholders will have the opportunity to actively contribute to HyPEF’s research by providing feedback and consultation during the development of the first-ever FCH-PEFCRs.
Through engagement workshops and online consultation events, we look forward to collecting technical comments from stakeholders on the drafted PEFCRs, as well as insights into the suitability and expected enhancements of each set of FCH-PEFCRs. These efforts aim to ensure that the PEFCRs are relevant for the FCH community and inspire policymaking in the field of new energy technologies.
What our members can expect:
- exclusive project content: access to reports, insights, and key updates on HyPEF’s research;
- interactive features: access to templates, surveys and other tools to share feedback, participate in discussions, and collaborate with HyPEF in delivering its key outputs;
- tailored resources: recommendations on materials, resources and networks related to the sustainability of the hydrogen economy and clean energy solutions.
We are counting on your feedback and participation to support HyPEF’s mission of promoting an environmentally responsible hydrogen economy by enabling comprehensive product environmental footprint studies.
